WHAT IS MEDIATION?
Mediation is a confidential, voluntary process that involves an independent third party - the mediator.
The mediator's role doesn't involve forming a view on who is right or wrong, nor will he or she try to impose a solution on the parties to a dispute. Instead the mediator will engage with all of the parties and endeavor to help them to come to a mutually acceptable agreement that will bring resolution to a dispute. While there is no guarantee that any mediation will result in a settlement, the process has a high success rate.
